Clayplains Projects brings together strategic thinking and practical delivery. We support the full arc of a project, from early-stage design and stakeholder engagement through to on-ground implementation across land, infrastructure and community.
Our work is grounded in real experience: across government, university partnerships, Aboriginal corporation governance, native title processes and cultural heritage delivery. We understand both the boardroom and the bush, and we move comfortably between the two.
About Clayplains Projects
Clayplains Projects was established by Yiradyuri man Will Carter to bring together two things that don't always travel together: clear strategic thinking and practical, on-ground delivery.
Too often, good planning doesn't translate into good outcomes. And good intentions on the ground aren't enough without the right frameworks behind them. Clayplains Projects sits in the space between, supporting clients to design work well, then see it through.

Hands-on from the Start
Will's early career was built on practical work - farming, plant nursery and horticulture, meat processing, labouring across building and construction, and welding. That grounding never left him. His passion for hands-on work means he brings these skills into both professional and personal settings, and understands what it takes to get things done on the ground - not just on paper.
Qualifications
Will holds undergraduate and postgraduate qualifications in commerce, a Graduate Certificate in Wiradyuri Language, Culture and Heritage, and has completed the Australian Institute of Company Directors (AICD) Course. This combination of business acumen, cultural knowledge and governance training underpins everything Clayplains Projects delivers.
